For two more weeks, The Tiger Hills Arts Association is hosting an exhibition called NATURAL REFLECTIONS. It consists of 25 of my large format prints from January 17 to February 24, 2017. The prints range in size from 20x16" to 40x30". The gallery is located at the McFeetors Centre in Holland, Manitoba.

Cancer is everywhere and we have all likely been touched by it. Many of us have our own personal stories. For me, cancer has been part of my family since the age of five, having lost both my parents, a grandmother, many uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours since then. Fortunately, great strides have been made in the battle against cancer during this last decade which has given many of us much hope.
This afternoon, I went to see 'Cancer Crossing' at the Blankstein Gallery in the Millennium Library in Winnipeg. This is a pre-launch exhibition for the e-book which is scheduled to be published in the near future. I look forward to seeing the e-book and hopefully a hard copy will also follow.
I was quite impressed with the large black & white photographs of those who shared their stories with us. The photographer(s) captured very personal moments and I found the images quite expressive. The stories are compelling and brought back a lot of memories of both pain and joy. I highly recommend this exhibition of fine black & white photographs which runs from March 1-31, 2014.

My print exhibition 'Prairie and Beyond' is currently showing at two locations in Manitoba: Portage La Prairie and The Pas.
'Prairie and Beyond 1', the larger of two exhibits, is showing in The Pas, MB at The Pas Reginal Library for the month of September. It comprises of twenty-six framed photographs in sizes ranging from 16” x 24” to 30” x 40”. It is designed for medium and larger galleries and exhibition spaces.
'Prairie and Beyond 11', the smaller of two exhibits, is showing in Portage la Prairie, MB at the Fort la Reine Museum from September through October. It is a slightly smaller show than its counterpart above with twelve 30” x 20” framed photographs, designed for smaller-scale exhibition spaces.
The photographs in each of the two exhibitions are different.
The two exhibitions, sponsored by the Manitoba Arts Network, travel throughout Manitoba communities from September 2012 through until December 2014.
My travelling print show entitled 'Prairie & Beyond II' is now on exhibition at the Fort la Reine Museum, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba from August 1 until September 30, 2013. The Fort la Reine Museum is pleased to have this travelling exhibition on loan from the Manitoba Arts Network which produced this exhibition of custom printed photographs selected from selections of my most recent coffee table book, 'Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond'. The book was published by Turnstone Press and is available for purchase at the Fort la Reine Museum.
"Grandmaison’s beautiful collection of Prairie images takes you on an intimate, colorful journey across our vast and rugged landscape” wrote The Winnipeg Free Press.
Svjetlana Mlinarevic of The Portage Daily Graphic talks about Mike Grandmaison's photographs of 'Prairie & Beyond' I Traveling Exhibition currently showing in Portage La Prairie at the Portage and District Arts Central Gallery until June 26, 2013. A number of the prints in the exhibition 'Prairie & Beyond' can be found in Mike's coffee table book 'Mike Grandmaison' Prairie & Beyond' published by Tursntone Press.
