Today I re-launched my website Grandmaison Photography at www.grandmaison.mb.ca I have always liked the ‘look and feel’ of this site but it was ten years old. Because good design transcends time, I kept the ‘look and feel’ of the site but modernized it to accommodate slightly larger images as well as to be mobile friendly. Thank you Scott Parfitt at Smallbox for modernizing the site and to Rob Peters and Adrian Shum (formerly of Circle Design) for the original design.

A new Canada Post stamp about 'The Canadian Museum for Human Rights' was released on August 20, 2014. The stamp was designed by Adrian Shum of Circle Design (Rob Peters - owner) and featured my architectural photographs on the stamp itself, as well as on the First Day Cover and the stamp booklet. I feel both fortunate and proud to have my imagery appear in six Canada Post stamp projects to date. 'The Canadian Museum for Human Rights', an architectural wonder designed by American architect Antoine Predock, opens on September 20, 2014.

My good friend and 'designer extraordinaire', Robert L. Peters, was recently recognized for his lifetime contribution to the design profession. Rob was presented with the elite award during a 50th anniversary reception for Icograda on November 17 in Montreal during 'Montréal International and Mission Design'. Icograda is the world body for professional communication design.
Rob co-founded Circle Design in 1976 and since then, he has tirelessly created and designed phenomenal work. I am proud to have had Rob and his team design all of my own identity and communication materials starting even before I launched my photography business in 1996. His elegant designs have surely contributed to my own success.
I invite you to browse the CIRCLE website to witness some of his amazing accomplishments to date, including many stunning postage stamps!
The award could not have been given to a more deserving individual. Bravo Rob!
The launch of 'Mike Grandmaison's Prairie and Beyond' at Winnipeg's McNally Booksellers on Monday evening proved to be an overwhelming success. A capacity crowd was on hand for the launch of Mike's latest book, published by Turnstone Press of Winnipeg, ending a 9 event 'book signing tour' throughout Western Canada.
SmibsTV host Peter Urban interviewed me via skype just as I was about to launch my new photo gallery. His online program 'Fine Art Photography Weekly' probes into the fascinating world of fine art photography by chatting with various fine art photographers from around the world.
