I will be conducting a one-day photo workshop on the Sunday as part of the 'Word On The Water' Book Festival taking place in Kenora, Ontario from October 25-27, 2013. In 'Viewfinder To Print', I will lead participants outdoors for a sunrise shoot near Kenora. I will demonstrate my process of setting up to capture an image, as well as talk about the decisions I make as I look through the viewfinder to execute the best image possible in-camera. Later we will return indoors to edit and process the images and learn more about expressing your vision in the final image. The workshop will end with a critique of the participants' work. The workshop is limited to 15 people.
Learn more about the workshop at 'Word On The Water'.

The week went by quickly and it proved to be a lot of fun too! It certainly helps when you have a great class of very interested particpants, all eager to learn something new. I feel fortunate to have had two great classes in the last couple of years.

What a fantastic group I had this past August at the Niagara School of Imaging in Ste. Catharines, Ontario. I could not have hoped for a better group of participants as they were all were very helpful and eager to share with others - it felt as if we had all known each other for years. You can tell from the class photo taken on the shore of Beaverdams Creek, at the historic Morningstar Mill a few miles past Brock University where the school takes place every year.
