IN FOCUS

I mounted my 70-200mm zoom lens on my camera lens to isolate this intimate view. Because I wanted to keep the focus 'tack sharp' from foreground to background, I made a number of exposures of the exact same scene, keeping the exposure the same but changing the point of focus for each image. I then blended the images in a software program called 'Helicon Focus' for the resulting image. It works quite well, particularly for longer lenses working with subjects from midground to further in the distance. Wind can create problems with ghosting of elements.
