Discovering More of Canada!

As the ice melts along the shoreline of Lake Winnipeg, large blocks can form. At sunset, the ice can take an otherwordly appearance, particularly if it is backlit and photographed with a very wide angle lens from up close to exaggerate its size. Care should be taken when photographing ice as the ice is very slippery, has very sharp edges and can break up at any time without notice! Grand Beach Provincial Park, MB
