'Whiteshell Provincial Park' - Manitoba Series (Notecard and Photographic Print)

The Canadian Shield, nearly four billion years old, covers the eastern and northern part of Manitoba. Along the Ontario border to the southeast of the province is located Whiteshell Provincial Park. It is an area of many lakes, rivers, forests and wildlife. In fact, Manitoba is known as the land of 100,000 lakes.

The area is also highly prized as cottage country where folks relax and enjoy hiking, canoeing, boating and winter sports. As summer progresses and the air cools in the evenings, the warmer waters dissipate fog that rises golden in the morning sun, creating a most serene and peaceful place.
