Photographing in blizzard conditions can be challenging, especially with a high windchill and frigid temperatures of colder than -40 degrees Celsius, to say nothing of possible polar bears lurking about. The landscape on the Hudson Bay shoreline near Churchill resembled an etching with few tones beyond black and white. I further accentuated the dramatic look by removing all mid tones, creating a stark high contrast monochrome image.
